Here is a news release; John Shumejda, President and CEO of AGCO Corp., died today in a plane crash in Birmingham, England. The 1999 twin-engine Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft crashed shortly after take-off at about 12:10 p.m. local time. Also killed in the crash were Ed Swingle, AGCO senior vice president of sales and marketing and three crew members. The aircraft was leased by the company and was en route to Bangor, Maine for refueling before flying to Atlanta. Trading of AGCO shares resumed after a brief suspension. Robert J. Ratliff, Executive Chairman, has been named interim President and CEO. [Reuters; Dow Jones; PR Newswire]
