Combines About the corn

Corn here in eastern Iowa sells for close to $2 or so. Good year we can grow 150 to 200 bushels an acre. Don't know about a 5 row machine as I have never seen one. A 6 row should be able to do 10 acres an hour give or take a few acres. Aaron

Here in Spain, in a good year we can grow 250 to 275 bushels an acre, but we only harvest 3 or 4 acres per hour. The corn here is very tall, more than 250 cm.

The best corn we harvested last year in Western Kansas did 240 bushel per acre. Our 9610 Deere went about 4.5 mph with an 8 row head at probably 18% moisture. I was in a lexion 480 once an it ran 6 mph with a 12 row head. The monitor showed about 2700 bushel per hour at 21% moisture and a yield of 200 bushel per acre.
