i had an F for several years and ran it with my dad and brother's 1440. i took an a_c unit off another F. take all the hoses, brackets, wiring and the fan box in the roof of the cab. you will need the pulley on the end of the engine pto shaft also. machines w_o a_c are a single pulley and the ones with a_c are a double pulley. the a_c compressor is driven off that pulley. do not put a pulley from a diesel powered machine on a gas powered machine or vise versa. the pulleys are sized to run the combine at a certain speed. the holes for the hoses to enter the cab are knock outs as are the holes for the drains. it took some time but well worth the work. you are correct,,,, those cabs get hot. good luck
