Combines AC on F3

With that much pressure, I am guessing that the high side pressure switch is kicking out. I think you should only have about 220 on the high side. Did you overcharge itIJ 7 cans sounds like a lot for this system, but I do not know what size can you are using.

Holy smokes it must be 200 degrees with a high side psi of that. What a smart a$$ I am tonight, I think if you just cleaned your condensor and evaporator then you should of changed out the dryer as well. Not to sound like a SA again but don't you change filter on engine when you change the oil. Also if you just switched to 134A, it only requires 80% of R12 capacity and if I recall right the F-3 is only a 4lb. system although I may be wrong as it has been known to happen! Don't you just you the capacity of those little machinesIJ

I forgot to mention that I did change the dryer. I didnt know the capacity of the system. I kept putting the freon in until the low side switch opened up. I had a low side that was showing about 28 and the high side was at about 225. This was on a humid and rather warm afternoon. like I stated before, the AC worked great that morning (10:00 am till noon) then the compressor started kicking in and out. I thought it may have sprung a leak so I checked and that was when the pressure was so high. And yes I like my Gleaner!! Especially here in Green country.

You said that you cleaned the condensor out. I assume you mean the insideIJ If so I would suspect that you still have debris in there and now it is clogged up. If it is clogged in the condensor you should see frost on it right behind the clog. Are the fans operating up to par on the condensor. They are known to lose a bearing and slow down and without the air flow that would also give you a high head psi. I would first discharge some freon and see what happens. By the way what was the low side psiIJ A restriction at the inlet of the dryer will cause a high head psi also. If the dryer is excessivly cold that is indication. If only the high side is out of wack then you narrowed it down to the discharge side of the system. Either way your expansion valve is not the culprit so at least that one thing off the list! let me know what you find.

At first the condenser was really stopped up (cooling fins). I cleaned the heck out of it and straightened the fins. The fans seem to be working properly. The only thing that I can think of is that in a couple of hours there was enough dust to stop up the condenserIJ or the fins are still bent bad enough to restrict air flow. Is there a screen or filter that anyone knows of inlineIJ What about a new condenserIJ Im at a loss! Im going to work on it Friday and see if any thing helps. I will try all suggestions and post back with whatever happens. Thanks for the help!
