Combines Accelerator Rolls Edible Beans

hello dave we are also bean farmers.we grow light red kidneys pintos navies and blacks.we always remove the rear acc rolls. the one year we tried as a stock machine the beans were dry and it was also hot we cracked alot (we drive an R5)after removing them our splits were at 2%,some say to slow down the clean grain elevator,hope this helps

Yes, we have the elevator slowed down and have the wide spaced concave(65) and the wedge over the left corner of the feederhouse. Before I pulled the rolls I just wanted to confirm the necesssity. Thank You, Dave

I grow great northerns and pintos and I also pull the back row of accl. rolls. One year I made the mistake of pulling all of them. I almost had a fire so do not be tempted to do that. I have the clean grain elevator slowed down a little by putting on the edible bean kit on my R-62. Then I also take out a couple of reverse bars and put forward bars in. That helped me cut down on the cracked beans. Neal

We don't pull rear rolls for we had to many bearing failures on right rear (R40,50,42,52,62,72,65,75). On N5,6,R6,7,60,70,we remove rear set of rolls. You see the right rear bearing sits out from side frame aways on first mentioned machines and it seems dirt will get shuved into bearing if paddles are removed.
