Combines Acceptable oil consumption in 1680 CDC Cummins

Plowboy, I've had 10 different combines since 1991 with the CDC Cummins engine in them. I think in nearly every one I would have to had oil to the engine at about 85 to 100 hrs. on a 125 hr. oil change. The most hrs I put on any of them was 2676 engine hrs. and it was about the same than, as when it had 300 hrs. I use the Case No. 1 engine oil 15w40. K.A.

I have owned our 1680 1992 model since new, it has always taken a pint a day after 30 hrs on an oil change since new, now at 1800 hrs. Always used No 1 15-40 oil. I change the oil every 100 hrs.
