does your ground speed register correctlyIJ the acremeter takes its impulse from the ground speed sensor.have you set the proper header cut widthIJif everything seems set properly and acres indicated is wrong them take to your gleaner dealer to calibrate on his gleaner module tester.
The ground speed is working and appears to be correct. I have dialed in the correct header size. I guess I will need to see the dealer. thanks for the information.
One available in Australia, but made in Eagle lake MN by Microtrak Systems Inc, is called Calc-an-Acre. Works on the rolling diameter of a ground wheel and the width of cut of the swather, if it does not have a cut off switch incorporated, some electronics guy could soon insert one into the wiring.
We have a 4890 as well. Deere does make an acre counter for them. I seen it in a hay equiptment add on pamphlet. I grabbed one of those pamphlets but I might`ve tossed it, but I`ll grab another one and send it to you if you want. I`ll give you my e-mail address and we can make an arrangement.
I've got a Calc an Acre that I could sell to you. We used it on a sprayer tractor. Its pretty small too. Probably about the size of 3 packs of cigarettes.
I have a Calc-An-Acre on my 4400 for custom work. Works great. I just press the hold button when I get to the end or wwhenever I don't won't to count the acres. I usually leave it on the speed display so I get my ground speed back to the same point everytime.
