It's not actually that hard, you add a solenoid for raising and lowering, a control box with wiring harness, oil cooler a bunch of hydraulic lines. You can't get a kit anymore though, I used to have a set of instructions here on putting one in but not sure if I can find it anymore. You should be able to install it all in a day.

That sounds pretty encouraging. I wonder if I could get the instructions from a Deere dealer and the list of parts that made up the kitIJ

What I did was go through the parts book with the partsman, and we ordered every piece that had to do with the dial-a-matic. They had no record of what was in the kit to follow, maybe your dealer would have a better idea. IJ
