Combines Advice on auction F2

A clean F2 with heads will go for $8-9,000 on a jockey lot in this area. So figure they're paying probably $3000-$4000 and then another $1500 or so for trucking to bring it from "somewhere west of Ohio". Swivel auger is great, got one on my K2. If the machine is real clean, probably no issues with it. I have seen them stuck on machines that were not so well cared for (left outside in the rain, never had dirt cleaned off, etc.)

Kaye2 - What are your plans for the K2 if you're upgrading to a F2IJ If selling is perhaps a possibility, please list the year, the features and your phone number. If not selling, I hope you keep using it around your place. Thanks!

If I can get the F2 bought reasonable I will most likely sell the K2. It is a short back K2 serial 24545, gas power, good shape other than the monitors don't work, only one function on the tach. works. 12 foot platform and A240 head for corn(black). Everything that I have fixed has been done right becasue I thought it would suffice for a long time, we outgrew it already. I have a 330 orange parts head too that I would almost give away now, nice tin, too nice to junk though. On the K2 the lights are nearly all fixed and it worked great this harvest.

The A430 head will bring $2000 to $4500 depending on it's condition. Gear drive or HydroIJ If it's gear drive, 4 cylinder, 1979 or newer with the hydraulic auger it would be worth about $5000 tops with a 15' header. If it will do what you want it will be worth more. When you can pick up a late l2, 320 flexhead and an A630 corn head for $12,000 I would not mess with a F2. I have a good 1979 F2 with a 15' electric over hydraulic series 2 and an A430 that will not net $7500 as a trade in.

loacl dealer has 2 F2's on the lot. Both are 6cyl. One has 15' wobble box other has 13' pitman head. One has hyd fold auger. Don't know about the transmissions. Asking $5000 but don't which one. We have a F2, spike tooth, 13' head, A438, hydrostat, 6 cylinder, that needs another home as we now have 2 M2's.

The combine is a Corn Plus so it must be a late F2 rightIJ Four cylinder power and elec over hydraulicIJ No grain head, just A-430 corn head. Hope she goes cheap!

I have a corn plus F2 and it is not electric over hyd. I think it is a 80 model, but not sure. The 430 black head works great on them, but you will need to pull up the ladder to avoid the next row. Very slow in good corn, but it will do a good job. Just out of curiosity, but where is the auctionIJ I seen your post about combining in DuQuoin, so it must be in So.IlIJ

It is a 1982 1_2 if it has the electric over hydraulic. I saw that model with hydro bring $12,500 last summer and it had 3800 engine hours and no heads. Good luck as the used machinery dealers will be bidding against you.

Must have been a different person posting about combining in Il, I am in west central MI, the sale is in MI's thumb, North Branch to be exact. I guess I assumed it was electric over hydraulic, it is for sure a corn plus. I actually like the lever style hydraulics on my K2, they will never fail due to mice damage, less wires is a good thing. When did the 4 cyl engine get put in themIJ

I think the 433 was put in them in 78, or 79. The 433 is uses very little fuel compared to the chevy 292 6 cyl that we had at one time.
