Can't say for sure, but in 1996 when I bought my 2188 AFS, the software came with it. The card reader did not.

The card and the software come with, but you need to get a card reader or a laptop to read the card.

The Software comes with the AFS in all models, the card reader_writer in the actual AFS is there but in order to transfer the data between your PC and AFS you need a card reader. Pretty cheap to buy, just make sure it's XP compatible if that's what your running.

I have no software with mine, which my dealer received the Black AFS from another dealer. What software is the nicest to use. I am not doing any maps with mine. Thanks Jack

Under tools go to management list editor. Edit fields and click the add new. It is much faster to set up the field names this way than from the display screen. The software is agleader. If your local CIH dealer doesn't work with it Agleader is very good. let me know if I can help. jhcloar@bellsouth.net
