Ihave had both good and bad luck with after market parts, Bought a feeder house chain for my R50, very comparable but didn't last. Price was much cheaper but in the end i wonder.
Some good and bad experiences with after market Gleaner products. When and if we buy aftermarket parts I AlWAYS give my AGCO dealer a chance to "get close". Sometimes they can other times they can't. I much prefer to buy from my local dealer because they are the kind of dealership that will open the doors at 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday with a smile.
I bought aftermarket rasp bars for my Deere 9610 and I was lucky to get the season out of them; - far inferior to original Deere! For the few times I've tried aftermarket, I've never had a great experience with them! The only exception is Sunnybrook and loewens products, in which case I've had really good results with. I would recommend these products_upgrades to anyone.
My Gleaner dealer offers both OEM and aftermarket that have had good ratings by users. He will steer you to the better of the two, no matter the brand or mark up! He prefers customer satisfaction because he knows he will get return business when the customer is 100% satisfied, and customers do a better and cheaper job of advertising for him than he can get any place else. Too bad the rest of my dealers don't use his business method.
