Combines Aftermarket Chaff Spreader

Dave, long cleaning systems, unlike the short ones, drop chaff onto the spinners. On a short cleaning system we added a chaff spreader (1480). It bolted to the steering axle, and was hydro driven off reel return). This worked very well with a 22.5' head. I have also seen white plastic spinners that bolt under original spinners to spread chaff. I'm not sure how well these work. Hope this helps.

Run a 1480. We went to a machine shop and got 6 sided shafting for very little money and drilled the appropriate holes in it. We then cut 4 or 6 " auger tubing in half and mounted those where those pieces of belts had been . we did not speed the whole assembly because I was afraid that it would not take the strain.
