what kind of chopper are you thinking aboutIJ We run a redekop on ours and the straw length is similar to the original chopper on the TR 98. The redekop does take quite a bit more power to run than the factory chopper but the advantage of it is the ability of it to spread the chaff with the straw and not having to have that chaff spreader on the back axle makes it a lot nicer to get in at your sieves. The redekop also will allow you to drop the chaff if you want to by simply flipping a door down which helps a lot in checking grain loss. Also if you want to drop straw it is just a matter of flipping two doors and putting the belt onto the idler pulley which is quick and simple because the tightner is on an over centre arm for this purpose.
