7010 was always going to have 52" shoe based on the New Holland CR920 (now discontinued),CR940, and CR960 models. That was a big reason why it's introduction was delayed 3 years ago; CIH realized the faithful 2388 would clean the 7010s clock in cleaning capacity. It will be interesting to see what they've done to make the 52" cleaning system come close to the 2388 shoe's performance. The 52" frame is likely necessary to make the 7010 a cost-effective machine, same reason why the NH CR960 (sister machine to the 7010) was initially going to be a 22" rotor _ 62" shoe frame and was cut back to the 17" rotor _ 52" frame.
