My neighbor has an 8010 AFX coming, originally scheduled for Aug delivery, but because there isn't going to be any 7010's built this summer, the dealer is looking for it to come in July. I suppose there will be some come earlier for the wheat harvest, probably already delivered.

Where are you fromIJ I am from Saskatchewan and there are only supposed to be 3 retailed here. Talked to the local service manager where one of these machines is sold. He is scared to death of these machineds to say the least. He says they have had not near enough RandD. He says no parts are available yet. In his opinion it is just a big mess from top to bottom.

Red Power, I'm in the states , corn and soybean country of NC IA. As I hear it, only 3 or 4 8010's to be sold in IA. They'll be few and far between.

What is all that scare business aboutIJ CASE has sold 60 new 8010 combines throughout North Amrica to selected customers. A limited number to have a chance to get the bugs out. Of course they don't have any parts yet. But the competition doesn't do any better. We had to order every single part for our STS's after they have been running for two years in big numbers already. For the lexion last year it wasn't any better. Every part had to be ordered and I had to give the parts salesman the exact part number out of the book, or he wouldn't know it. Many CAT dealer people don't know anything about combines. I talked to one farmer, who told me, that he hat to rent an STS fo finish his harvest, because they couldn't get his lexion fixed. lexions are sold in North America since 98.

Dakota, I don't know about you. But, in my opinion that is not the way to do business. If you are selling a product there had better be lots of RandD, parts support and service. If there isn't, why are the prices the way they areIJ From what you said above, that is unacceptable performance from the company. Whether it be Deere, Cat, Case whatever. These units are huge investments and are a key component of any farming operation. And they need to be running when the going is good. As Dennis Miller says "This is only one man's opinion, and I may be wrong"

I see your point, but when each manufacturer does the same, where is the customer going to turn toIJ I still think that CASE takes better care of their customers than others and hope that we will be red one time. For now I am completely fed up with Claas. They don't take care of anything, except trying to stay away from law suits.
