Combines AFX rotor in 1680

I have a 1680 and I am putting in a AFX rotor in, just started this afternoon, The rotor is the same, the only reason they don't suggest the 1680 is that only the last models had the long sieve and they don't feel that without the long sieve the combine can handle the extra capacity. Also the HP of the 1688 is more than the 1680 but I going to turn up the pump a small amount. We will have the rotor in by Friday so will the problems if there is any. My dealer was in Iowa last week at the new combine showing and this was the reason he was told that the 1680 was not put on the list for the AFX rotor. I hope to improve the rumbling in heavy wheat swaths and green stem soybeans and edible beans. Hope this answers your question.
