Combines AFX rotor in later 1680IJ

I installed a new AFX rotor in our 1680 long sieve this fall, it performs wonderful, only reason they were saying only the 1688 was they felt that the long sieve was needed for the increased capacity expected from the new rotor, everything is the same otherwise. There is no more rotor rumble, we have combined spring wheat up to 80bu_Acre this fall with heavy straw loading due to laying down crop, canola, edible beans and soybeans, it has worked great in all crops, quite a few neighbours around me have them also with the same results. It feeds a lot better but does take HP which we are short of on the 1680 but no more than the other speality rotor did and makes it a pleasure to drive now. We farm in southern Manitoba. If you have any questions just Email me. Scouter

Instead of changing to the AFX Rotor, why don't you try a set of Marlin Blades on the rotor you haveIJ If you need a new rotor anyway, buy a Stewart Welding rotor and use Marlin Blades. It will take less horsepower, and save on fuel. This system will also cost about half as much. SIGNED:BOB
