There really is no 99 cent fuel. That is like feeding your own corn when the price of pigs are 10 cents and corn is $4.00. Market value is what it is worth. You may be better off to sell your fuel. That would be good profit. Burn furnace oil!! I would think a 300K machine would burn most anything oily. Parts are a major, major, problem, however I would prefer to not have an outsorced part in my machine, but I also hope the man eating his cheerios realizes I got about 3 cents for the little round O fellows. I am glad you have some cheap fuel, but don't disquise the value. You are burning $3.00 diesel.

I bet he can't deduct $3.00 per gallon on his taxes thoughIJ IRS might frown on that a little bit.

You said that was list price. About how much do you think you could really buy them forIJ I used to figure around 80 per cent of list was about as good as you could do, but things may have changed. I know I will never buy a new combine.

like everything else, there comes a point when big is too big. These new monsters will never pay for themselves no matter how sharp the pencil is, yet a used MF300 bought at the right price will pay for itself in a week. like the Concorde, bigger and faster is not always better. Anybody checked out www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net

Just got a call from my dealer this morning he wants $125,000.00 CDN and my 2003 2388 which has 1900 rotor hours on it. I give him all this and I will get a 2006 2388. He told me I have to let him know by end of Oct. because there is a price increase. Am I crazy but isn't this just a bit much for exactly the same combine has I have but with no hours on it granted it is three years newer and from what I am hearing it will have a bit more horsepower. When will it stop in 1980 a 1480 was $80,000.00 CDN this is crazy. I guess I will keep my 2388 for a long, long, long, time because when it has 5000 hours on it it will still be worth $50,000.00 because new combines then will be close to a million dollars. Stop the insanity. lOl
