It could have either the 32 speed tranny or the 18 speed powershift. The 32 speed is basically a Massey .The powershift is a funk.Same as everyone else. The engine should be a detroit. I have had several 9600 series Agco's. They have all been good for me.The powershift has a jump between 9th and 10th.The detroit in the 9675 that I have and the 9695 that I traded ,is basically the old 466 international, very good engines in the ones I have had.I also had a 9690,and 9815.I never had any trouble with these tractors.Someone else will know for sure what engine were in the 9400 series Illinois Gleaner

It's been a while, but the 9435_9455 were all Massey with Detroit series 40 eng. The rear ends WERE a problem 5 to 6 yrs ago (differential failures) and I thought they were fixed with an update kit. About a year ago I was at a dealership that had one all tore to pieces and it was still the rear end giving problems. let the buyer bewareIJIJ There was no trans option as 18 speed PST; that was the 9600 series. 9400's to my knowledge had the 32speed Massey set-up only.
