Combines AGCO acquires rights to Caterpillar MT Challenger Series

If I understand everything correctly, Agco has zero interest in the Cat combine. Claas came to Agco, (Massey side),first with that design. It was rejected as being too heavy, complicated, and expensive to build.

AGCO bought the Challenger factory with all the rights. CAT will still make all the components. Just go and check both home pages. I personaly think those two don't fit together and something will be going down hill.

I think what is not being discussed here is the fact that AGCO is making a profit. My local Case dealer told me 3 years ago as I was considering an AGCO tractor that they wouldn't make it and my investment would be wasted. My how times change, AGCO will be the only company in 2001 to show a profit. I would put Robert Ratliff and John Schumejda up against any management team in the industry. These guys are good, don't bet against them.
