Augerhead, Try sourcing the same part from a SAME dealer. likely the part is exactly the same for half to two thirds the price you were quoted. I think AGCO is trying to wash their hands of Deutz parts. Hyper Harvest II

Here is Deutz USA's page with a listing of dealers by states. Try complaining to Deutz about AGCO's support of their product. Sure doe not do Deutz's reputation any good to have this situation.

Well, it is a triple K (KKK) turbo and a std hook up for pressure and a banjo fitting for the block. I would braze a fitting on the ends and use the outer steel braid flexible hose setup. Agco's raw cost is right at dealer net. Deutz is the supplier and will rape and run where possible. There are other ways just as safe to get oil to the turbo. 4153848 is the n. Ipsco out of Stuttgart gets $301 by the way - straight from Deutz. Friendly return of metal we gave them from the skys half decade agoIJ

Tbran, I will give you that one. But can someone tell me why a guard for a 300 series to an 8000 series head is now 15.00,and it still has the AC emblem on it,so it isnt anything new. A new Deere guard, and I set it right beside it,the holes dont match, but has the same amount of metal,is 7.00,I know they sell alot more of them, but pouring it into that old mold, cant be anymore expensive then deere and there old mold. Yea you can buy a AGCO tractor or combine for less than the green ones. But if you need repairs for AGCO you will really pay. Read a thing about how AGCO company was showing a good profit ,but at what cost if they drive away there customers. Red ,green, blue, orange ,the equipment of today will all do about the same job + or - alittle . Maybe AGCO should remember that ,I like my Gleaner but a red or green one would do the job just the same!

Fortunately our machines have been very reliable so I dont know the cost on a lot of parts but I did snap the back feeder shaft on front chain this year and was surprised @ the price as I thought it would have been more. Was at a salvage yard getting a magnet assembly for seperator clutch as ours seperated from the disc its welded too and cracked the disc too bad to try and reweld it, asked the guys in there about cost of parts as a new one is around 1300 canadian if I recall correctly and he said that all brands have their fair share of high ticket items.
