Combines Agco SunflowerIJIJIJIJ

'bout a year ago. A real PlUS for AGCO. Sunflower drills and discs are tops with customers. They sell them to their neighbors for most dealers. Sunflower dept also picked up responsibility for all tillage and planting (White) sales. Good move.

I think it's been a year or better since Agco bought Sunflower. There is a lot more rumor than fact, but I believe that Sunflower whole goods and parts contracts will continue to be honored. I know that my local JD dealer has more Sunflower on the lot than ever. Most of the rumors center around moving the White planter works to Beloit.

This will destroy the White planter. We have a shed full of Sunflower tools and have traded White planters every 1-3 years for the past 15 years. after trying to buy a new planter this fall we were amazed. The new Sunflower reps no crap about planters and had no clue of the programs. My old AGCo rep told me the planter programs as we were trying to buy one on interest free for 3 years. The Sunflower rep had new ideas on the program every other day and finally would not work with my local dealer to get the 8531 planter I needed. Instead tried to talk me into the 8523 that they had too many of in his territory. Needless to say I ordered a blue planter and my Sunflower equipment will go as we replace them. AGCo need to straighten this out fast. lots of White planters on Blue dealers lots so far this fall.
