I have had the same problem this year with my 1640 AHC. We finally found the problem in the connection from the combine to the head. Some of the pins in the plug were not making connection. I don't know how a plug can where out but you could pull the pins out of the back of the plug. If it is the problem you need to get a new plug and get the tool to put new pins on the wires. Once they pull out they don't goback in and stay.
