Combines air ac r62

Does the r62 have a double shaft blower moter with squirrel cage fans on each endIJ If yes, make sure fan blades are clean. If they are clean, make sure motor assembly is not backward or that fans are not mounted reversed. A squirrel cage fan will move air no matter which way you put it on the shaft, but it will move lots more air if it is on right. Rule of thumb on rotation, look at side of fan cage, the vanes angle to the outside of the cage, that points to the direction of rotation. I know from experience when you are working a bench assembly that goes overhead it's easy to get things twisted. Hope this helps. Also, the amperage draw is less if the fans are backward.

Sounds like your evaporator is plugged.

On a few R 's - liquid cooled that do not have the AC on off switch we have found that the blower switch also powers the compressor clutch. IF so we install a relay triggered by the high speed wire and power the fan directly from the fuse panel. The switch on high speed now just powers the relay and the fan gets the 13.5+ volts it needs to turn the Rpms necessary fon you to get a breeze going.

Save yourself some $-blow out the evaporator-it will amaze you how much air you will get!

hi we made up a extra fan with end cap 2.5 hose so as to fit in to the line to goes to the left side of cab all its air is boosted to the left side makes it a lot cooler if you have a big cab you will need a lot of cool air you will not get that with the small hose in that cab

Yep know what you mean!!! I have 94 62 as well, and there is and upgrade you can get here in Oz that allows you to put bigger diameter blower hose in! Think all the new ones from 96 onwards have the three inch size hose!! ours would only be 2.5 inch haven't done that upgrade yet but I'm planing to this year!! !(I'm starting to run out of things to upgrade on our 94 62!!!!!) AS we live in a dry climate we don't really need a heater in our combines!! (harvesting canola all night sometimes can get a bit cool!!! but not like you guy's in the North!!!!!!) So we have taken out our Heater core and washed out the air con core and find it's working much better. Also have painted the roof white which has made a big difference. Rolf
