Are the precleaner's plastic minicyclone components available as separate items and if so, where fromIJ Donaldson don't seem to want to supply them here in Oz. They want to sell you the whole precleaner. We partially melted some of the cyclones when barley dust blocked the screen above the engine hood and drew hot exhaust gases back into the precleaner. Could not see any damage from the top or bottom of the precleaner barrel. Fixed the screen blockage problem by removing the screen and putting a revolving paddle type precleaner on a pipe that extends above the grain tank to get clean air. See Rolf Hedt's mods in Hyper Mods. Found the melted bits when we punched out the centre parts of the cyclones to check for freedom from blockages as recommended way back on this site. Also found the cyclones to be partly blocked by hard dust lumps despite regular soakings and washings of the precleaner. Made a huge difference to filter element dust build up. Will build inspection access ports into the precleaner barrel to check for blockages in the cyclones for this next harvest. Cheers.
