no expert here but make sure your a_c switch under the buddy seat works and then with the key in on position engine off, turn fan switch on and see if you can hear the compressor kick in. If not check the wiring at the compressor.Checking over our 72 the other day i discovered the the valve that opens up when you want the heat on, in the engine compartment. make sure that cable did not break and maybe that valve is stuck open. my 2 cents

Did you check the high and low pressure on compressorIJ With compressor on and around half trottle. High side should be around 150 to 175psi, and low side around 25 to 35 psi depending on the outside air temp. This high and low psi pressure works for me. Check your condenser and make sure it is clean and air flows though it, you can use a condenser coil cleaner on it also. If your freon don't seem to be flowing though the system it could be the expansion valve on the evaporator coil (inside cab) or if you have had a opening in the system that allowed moisture to get in you may need to replace the drier (filter) and pull a vacuum and replace the freon. This all seems to work when I have AC trouble and hope it works for you.

G'Day Check your condenser valve under the cab as ours on a 94 R62 was shot! replaced it with a new one, it now cools like a fridge!! you can also take the condenser out by taking the bottom cover off under the cab and sliding the condenser out the bottom and then running some water and detergent over it with a five liter pressure spray bottle. we also have taken the heater core out completely, and painted the roof white of the cab. Also have installed relays on to the fan switch, and that made a big difference to the fan speed as it's getting full voltage to the fan in every speed. Rolf

check the line coming FROM the condensor core from UNDER the cab while running , is it coldIJ IF not, either the compressor is not clicked in or the r134a is low or the expantion valve is malfunctioning. low pressure should be less than 20psi and high from 175-275 depending on outside temp, on a 95 deg day about 250 high side 18 low. IF the line is cold you could have moved the water shut off valveIJ I really like to turnOFF the shut off at the enginge in summer except for the 5 series in which the thermostat is in the water flow.

I was wondering how your beans were doing. I knew the other day you were in some pretty nasty corn.
