Combines Air flow directional

We put one in this spring. Before and after, we used streamers to see how even the air was front to rear. The improvement was dramatic. Without the deflector, a high velocity air jet blasts upward at the front of the sieve and nearly no air goes out the rear of the sieve. With the deflector, the air flow was nearly perfect at a full range of fan speeds. We'll find out how much it really helps in a couple weeks cutting wheat, but I expect it to be well worth the money.

The machine is my father's in SC Kansas. He will have beans and milo this year, but no corn. My impression of running corn is that it is much easier to get clean. Wheat, on the other hand, can be a real challenge. I have no experience with beans. Milo is probably in the middle somewhere. I expect we will be limited by the clean grain elevator in milo this fall, which is a lot better than being limited by the grain return auger, which is what we're used to.
