Combines Air Foil Seives

We use Harvest fixed airfoil chaffers in our old 1480_1482. We really like them in all crops. We cover the front 10 inches with "ripple tin" to keep stems and other heavy material from the auger bed from spearing through the front of the chaffer. This really cleans up the sample as the front few inches do not have much air under it plus it supplies more air for the rest of the chaffer. with the ripple tin in place we could run less fan speed.

we used an air foil chaffer in a 1460 with good results, both with and without a clean grain sieve in place for corn and beans, clean grain sieve was used for wheat. we are using one now in a 1688, works like a charm, more air is better seems like...long finger clean grain sieve, haven't tried it witout a clean grain sieve yet, probably won't as it has plenty of capacity for us as it is and gives good grade in food grade white corn. I had previously thought air foil chaffers were for people who were too lazy to adjust the chaffer sieve, but found out different.
