look at is as a long term investment and you will be totally happy with the purchase. You may be saying "wish I would have done it sooner."

I just used the AirJet Chaffer in Oats today (Monday) and was told by Mr. Gordon to use the soybean elements for barley......Will be harvesting feed barley on Tuesday. I can let you know on my results tommorrow. For the oats today. Used the beans elements and the book says 700 RPM on Paddle fan. I increased it to 800 RPM and the sample is great enought to put is straight in the drill for next year's seeding. Any other questions just ask.....JWK

I noticed "the book says". Is that an AirJet book or the CaseIH bookIJ I did not get any instructions with my AirJet.

Thanks,JWK, looking forward to your barley cleaning results. Can't quite figure out why the wheat elements wouldn't be good for barley. By the way, what elements did you use for the oatsIJ I got my chaffer late last year, so I only used it in beans, but it was great and I'm looking forward to the results when we do barley.

Hi Steve, I have found the brochure for the elements. I have used the Soybean Elements for Oats and Barley. Now there are 2 different elements for soybeans. I have the ones with the HEX type of holes in them. Some elements are available for both beans and corn and that one is round holes. To answer your question about the Wheat El. I believe that the holes would be too small for the Barley to fall thru. Also remember the weight differece between the grains. 60 lbs ver. 48 lbs. per bushel. I harvested barley today....and the farmer sure was happy with the clean sample. Fan speed was set at 860 RPM. Grain Moisture was 12.4 % Happy harvest. GO with the FlOW.....AXIAl FlOW. Jack.
