Combines air systems on bean head

I have had a crary air reel for 6 years. Will not own a combine with-out one now. They pay for themselves because of the lack of shatter loss off of the head. You will also gain a 1_2 hour in the morning and another 1_2 hour in the evening of harvest time because they feed the cylinder so even.

Have you tried the hose modIJ I did that to my 315 and now have it on my 520 and really like it. Makes a great rock guard also. I can see how an air reels would help with shattering by blowing the grain into the augar instead of letting it drop onto the sickle. Pete

Have the aws system and works well and if adjusted properly does all they claim.

I do have the bean saver modification. However, if I have an air system, I'm thinking I'll need to take it offIJIJIJ

If it were me I would try it with the hose mod as it makes a great rock guard. If you don't like it, removal of the hose is not difficult. Pete

Just remember to throttle up and down slowly as the fan blades can, will, and do explode do to sudden torque changes. This can wreck an otherwise good day.
