Sure can - You can also say "ceramic-matalic" It would cost a bunch - but could do it. It's quite old technology! best, bill koob

Years ago Smokey Yuneck, I probably misspelled his last name, used ceramics to make a 'hot air engine' which ran a gas engine on high boost which completly vaproized the gas fuel mixture prior to entering the cylinder. It produced tremendous HP and 40-60 MPG. I never have heard any more about this, or him. Spending too much time at work, bummmer - those were the fun days.

That was that guy in Hot Rod mag. I have not seen him or a Hot Rod in many years. Kind of hard to soup up the mini-van nowadays, wife wouldn't go for that. May be I will just go and buy a Hot Rod mag and remember my youth again! Ilnh

I dissagree, when you add a after cooler you are lowering the intake air temp, thus making it more dense. The dencer the air the more fuel that can be carried in on one cyle of the engine, thus producing more POWER. When i was doing my machnics that is one of the things they taled about was more cooler intake charge the more POWER you will make. Colin

not to belabor the point, but this is what I just said. But in this theoretical case WE ARE NOT ADDING MORE FUEl. IF the engine is set properly it IS AlREADY burning the fuel completely. You can put all the air you want in a cylinder at whatever temp; it is the fuel that makes hp. When fuel is added to the point it is not burning, THAT is when boost and chargecooling comes into play.
