AJ If your terrain permits it then go with the 30 footer. The first year these maximizers were out in 89 my college buddy and his dad put a 30 footer on a 9500 and it handled it just fine. We were cutting 60+ bushel wheat and still running well over 3.5 mph. That's gawd's plenty fast enough I thought considering I never got over 2mph with my 6620 and a 22ft plat. If you had bought a turbo series I might agree with you to stay with a 224 or a 925 but since you bought the T-2 series it should handle that 230 or 930 with no problems at all. If you do buy a 900 series platform stay away from the earlier ones dating from 89 to 90 or 91...somewhere in there......they had a feeding problem and I never did ever hear that they got it fixed. Good luck finding your bish adapter......I'll get that email about what all to look at off to you again when I get some time. Deerebines

I don't agree with you that a 9500 will handle a 930 header just fine. Two years ago, we got over 12 inches of rain during mid to late June. Our custom cutters took their all four of their machines and we were left with 2500 acres and our 9600. A friend who was farther down south told us to come pick up his 9500, which had a 30 foot header. The machine was in good shape and had a lot of risers. However we were doing good to go 2.5mph. I believe that a 9500 would be great with a 25 foot header but it cannot adequately keep up with a 30 foot header.

Must not of been set up right skinny. The 9500 I ran with a 930 would really haul rear through the field just fine with that big of a plat. Deerebines

skinny I don't know.....when I was running the machine I was taking a full swath but this was 10 years back and the "boss" didn't say anything about how to watch the harvestrak then. He said "x" miles per hour and keep it there. I have to agree with you.....I know I don't run near as fast as they do in wheat but I always just figured it had to do with variety and geographic region. For all I know they were just plain lying to me and the wheat was making a big whopping 20.....I really don't know.....I never saw tickets or field maps so could figure the bpa myself. ONly thing I know is that we were running fast and that 9500 was not having a bit of power trouble or anything.......to say the least I was impressed. Have a good one
