We only have 1 2388 with a 25ft draper but can easily cut 90-100 acres of 50bu beans in a day if it's not too terribly muddy. Our best day this season was back in August. Cut a 120 acre field of beans, started about 10:00 and quit about 9:00, ground was dry. Field averaged 56 bu. Usually hard to get started much earlier. We have 2 trailer-trucks. What part of AR are you inIJ I lived in Marion for a while. live in northeast lA now. Surprised ya'll are still cutting beans up there. We've been through since the last of September, but we didn't have any wheat this year, so no late beans. Good luck getting through.

How's thisIJ last Sunday I cut the last 55 acres (45 bpa) from 12:30 pm to 11:30 pm with a 6620 and 220. I stopped only to unload, refuel, and pee. My reward, besides the end of harvest, was a great view of the Northern lights.

Small world, I used to eat lunch at Uncle John's pretty frequently. I'm from louisiana and came back to farm. I was an Agronomist for Monsanto and we had a research farm in Proctor, on Drew Oliver's farm down there. I also worked for Deltapine Seed as the Agronomic Services Rep for AR in the mid to late 90's. I did test plots on new varieties and worked with the salesmen to do grower meetings, handle complaints, etc. Came back down here in 2000, started consulting and farming. Ya'll still cutting beansIJ Have you had a good bit of rainIJ Good luck with everything. PS, let a few greenheads go so we can have some ducks down here!

truly a small world. i live around the corner from Uncle Johns and my uncle just moved into the house next to it on the south side. I see you post on redpower too. i'm Arkansas1206 on there. I don't post too much but I read some every night. We actually farm directly west of Drew's land at Jenneatte. Ours is just up the road from Boles Grocery where the pavement ends and gravel begins. Yes we are still cutting. have about 1300 acres to go. Everybody is in the same boat around here. Some have 4000 acres and some have 1000 left. We just happen to be in the middle. No you can't have any ducks. We need all we can get. Season opens around the 20th. Besides ya'll have those sea ducks down there!!! If you come back up this way you'll have to stop and say hello.

Riceman, we have our lexion 460 on tracks loaded up ready to head south to Haiti Mo. to do some soybeans. I'm wondering if there is any custom work available anywhere in your area. We have a NH TR-99 too, but I think it is too wet for that machine. If you have any ideas for us could you e-mail us. We have farm interests in the lake Village AR area, but not this year.

Hey, will do man. I'm in northeast lA, about 20 miles south of the AR line(Eudora),so we don't get the Gulf ducks. I swear ducks were dumber up there. I guess by the time you boys shoot at em, the ones that make it down here are much wiser. I know where you are. There's a speedtrap around Jeanette when you go over the interstate on that road! So whats the deal, were ya'll late planting or just had too much rain this fallIJ Has the quality gone down on the beansIJ Hope y'all get it all out.

No we weren't late planting but its been raining for the past month. we got the last of the rice out about 2 weeks ago on the 2 days it wasn't raining. A lot started back cutting Sunday. It rained again this past Wed. night. We got about 400 acres cut in 3 days. In the mud. And thats moving 5 miles and cleaning out for a different seed variety. Things are just slow going. Theres lots of cotton still out too. The quality has gone down a lot. lots of water stood on a lot of land. You're right about the speed trap. Only now they ran out of money in their government grant and had to fire the cop so theres no speed trap now. Most people don't know that though.

Hate to hear ya'll are having so many problems. Just makes you sick when you have a good crop then have trouble getting it out. We had 8.5 inches of rain last week, but missed the rain this week. Quite a few mallards on the rice fields this morning. Maybe we'll actually get some ducks this year. We've had three bad years in a row. Good luck with everything.

My neighbor claimed he did 80 acres of soybeans in one day with his 303 International. Now THAT'S a story!
