Combines Altendorf lawsuit

A similar thread was posted asking the same questions around 9 days ago. The thread and replies were deleted. The only question that was answered was that there is no lawsuit. The other questions on STS performance and lost of harvesting contracts were not answered if I recall correctly.

I think this is an important thread that needs to be answered. If there are problems with the STS's then folks need to know. That is way too much money to throw at a machine if there are questions about it's separation capability. My neighbors who farm 4,000 acres in eastern IN are sticking with Deeres but traded for two traditional cylinder drum combines. They couldn't see the benefit in the field for the cost differential for corn and soybean harvesting. My next door neighbor still uses a 1986 JD 6620 Titan II and it has run fantastic.

It is to my understanding that, Atlendorfs did lose their 30,000 acre job in SD. It was supposedly because of poor performance on the STS, but I believe there was more to it. I don't know if THERE IS or THERE IS NOT a lawsuit. Also know that, they had 2000 model 2388s and were given the full amount on those 2388's plus $100k when they swished to STS. I guess, you would get a more straight answer, if you guys talked to Altendorf himself. He lives in Minto, ND, so wouldn't hurt to call him up and get a more straightforward answer. The Red, yeah, I hope to hear more on this thread. Oh by the way, Altendorf's are located in Minto, not Minot. Minto is northwest of Grand Forks. Can't imagine Altendorf's running such a large opeartion and losing a large chunk of acres to cut at the same time.
