Never tried one of them belts. You don't need to remove any hoses that I know of but still not fun especially if engine was hot. Trouble with alternator and air cond belt on these machines is they are the only ones that are not self tentioning. We tie a spare belt in place for because that will make the next change much easier. The alternator belt on Cummins equiped 52s should be self tentioning as it is on 62s.
