Combines amount of hours on a john deere combine

I really don't think some people believe this, but I have actually seen a J.D. 8820 with 9500 hours. I was told by its owner, a custom harvester, that he kept the machine until about 12,000 hours, then sold it. I do know this combine was very carefully rebuuilt and repaired throughout its life from day 1, so that was most likely the main reason for its longevity. Perhaps, also, it just happened to be out of a high-quality batch of material and was not built on a Monday after a holiday.

So what if it was built on a Monday after a holiday. Every combine should be built exactly the same no matter the day. I've heard that built on a friday stuff but i don't believe it.

You don't think it's possible to come back to work a little hungover from the prior weekendIJ I've actually seen some of that in places I've workedIJ But you are right that every combine SHOUlD be identically constructed, but it doesn't seem to be the case 100 percent of the time. That's why some combines vary so much, even with consecutive serial numbers.
