l3, it's probably dirt or rust in the ballrace (where the unloading tube pivots). After each harvest pouring diesel around that ring really helps those little balls roll.Just another thing you should change the joining links in that chain that folds the auger in or out each season if you do a lot of acres.john

if you raise up the auger and pause it does it sink back to the restIJ could be leaky seal in cyl letting oil bypass.

I'll check that tomorrow. It did seem to work a little better after I oiled it.
