I know of two 8010's that flamed up and died on the same day, in the same field this past fall. It was in SW Indiana. The farmer owned 8010 went up first and the replacement 8010 brought in went up a few short hours later (((just hours apart - in the same field)))...absolutely amazing! Given all that has gone wrong, how can CaseIH and their affiliates honestly sell such a volatile productIJ As far as I am concerned, to heck with product quality, the 8010 is a safety hazard. They should have danger signs all over them.

Don't they have any standards to followIJ It should be illegal to make such junk and sell. The CNH balers burn to if you make the bale too big. No safety shut off on the pick-up. The older(Hesston) ones had it. Whats going onIJIJIJ

I think I'd watch the indignant attitude, as their are plenty of 9650's sitting around the scrap yards from engine fires. It's a well known problem on them, as well. Chads

I don't know the true incidence in either case. However, the 8010 won't be a true production combine untill this year. That will tell the tale. It's still a known, serious problem on the StraightThroughSeeders. I haven't heard of any rear axles falling out from under the 8010's though, unlike some others, or grain tanks hitting the cab, hmmm, now who could that beIJ Chads

I beleive CaseIH still considered them a limited run to iron out problems. Only 250 or less made, compared to 80 the year before. Chads

"Mesmerized" lOl. I've seen up close and more personal than I really wanted to how the "long green slime" operates. No thanks. As long as the buyers don't know what's going on behind the scenes, I guess everythings cool, kinda like a duck. I got relatives in Florida, but not Chads that I know of. Chads

Most companies make one prototype and test the crap out of it. And what your saying is, CNH makes a bunch of prototypes, finds suckers to SEll them to, and lets them test it. Real Nice. Talk about short term thinking...
