I didn't even know that one existed from CIH until today, when I got a fall parts catalogue from my dealer.Don't why it wouldn't work.I didn't see any mention of a different sheave assembly like the 80-88's.Just wish I had $4K laying around to pop one in my combine.

Not sure if they make one for the 60 series . Web site does not say that they do . Was at a combine clinic the other nite and saw the new afx rotor . Not sure it will be worth the money . I can see where it will be an improvement over the old elephant ear style . Auger style would be a more consistant feed into the rotor .

they do make one for the 1660 and also the 1460. They don't for some reason recommend putting it in the 1460 unless there is a power update.

The main reason they don't recomend the AFX rotor in a 14_1660 (as well as the pre'91 14_1680s) is they had the "short cleaning sytem" In '91 they came out with the "long" cleaning system in the 1680s and in '93 with the cross flow cleaning fan. Check over on www.redpowerforum 's "coffee shop" there is a discussion going on right now about this topic. Check out j.p.'s posts, he is a combine test engineer for CIH and has lot's of experience running the AFX rotors in several different crops and lots of conditions.
