I know the folks at the top, we fuss and fight all the time on many issues, so is the relationship with my wife. I get calls and emails from company people concerning posts on a regular basis as well as sending them. Some company folks are less than politically correct, the majority take all suggestions and critisism at face value. The statement 'preception is reality' has been used many times. Concerning combines, several here have posted suggestions that were flatly rejected by engineering -rather one engineer with a lot of power - but later the same suggestion wound up as standard equipment within 3 years on Gleaner and MF combines. Thats a lot of power! From the field to the internet to the production line in 3 yrs! Show me another company with multiple examples like this; it is also an ongoing process. Again, I do not deny there are shrug offs of suggestions and even disdain from a few mouths that should be shut. Same way in every organization, from my business to my church. ( one letter to agco wanted every tractor and combine to be equipped with a heads up night vistion goggle military device thus elimintating the need of lights and the power robbing altenator that would not stay working on his combine.) I haven't placed a call to you to hear what your issue is, but if you will call Kevin Bein, head of combine marketing at 770 813 6544 with your concerns, I will bet a steak dinner some heads will snap to attention or roll.

Well i had some issues not too long ago and i received a lengthy phone call from Kevin Bein, i was very impressed with him, he knows his combines and i made a few comments, actually quite a few, he made a lot of notes and i'm sure they will be addressed, i know some have been already taken care of all, thanks Kevin, appreciated your time. Do call him if you have some issues.

G'Day Guy's As most of you know Im die hard Gleaner (as to why, I don't knowIJ) Any way the comment made by tbran reflects the fact that it takes time for someone in power to come around to our way of thinking on our brand of machine. What Im seeing happening here in OZ finaly, is a grass roots push to have theses upgrade things done by our dealers, which is a good thing for us users. It does take a couple of "nutters" in the area to be active in pushing for these improvements, (I got told by some one recently that to be careful if ever trading Rolfs combine as it will go like the clappers but we dont know what's inside it!) as most farmers are fairly conservative as to their brand on machine (If its not painted the same as my machine it wont work on my machine!!) So far I have seen at least two AGCO dealers in Oz that are actively pursuing the design changes to Gleaner combines and Im sure there are a lot more (My dealer is slowly coming across to the dark side!!) when it becomes a grass roots push the top will change (Might be kicking and screaming) so hang in there we only need one or two people at the top to have a change of hart to see lots of your ideas come thru on the machines.(I still think night vision goggles would be good to sneak up on the truck driver though!!!) ever had on a set of night goggles and had the lights come onIJ It would also drive the neighbors nuts talking about you running at night w_o lights. what about thremal sights, you could look at the combine, tractor and whatever and see potential problems. It is all cubic $

I am referring to your reference that one engineer having so much power with the development of a combine. Why would Agco management let 1 person control so muchIJ It seems to me there should be team work in designing a combine. To let 1 person control so much in the company as big as AGCO is poor management.

yes, traded for a 9560. I think this is the only R65 my dealer has out, and I think mine is the only new combine my dealer has sold since 2003. So my dealer's help was limited.
