The JD dealer in Storm lake IA had a 79 grey cab 750 with around 2500 hours for sale for $2500, ya don't ask me why I didn't got buy it, just for the parts I have a 79 750
22 years old and over 4000 hoursIJ Sat outside for 2 years so paint's bad, tin starting to rust and if it hasn't been used I'm sure most of the bearings are trashed. Probably be lucky to get 500 bucks from abiline machine.
Bought a 78 750 with 1720 hours this summer at auction. paid 700 for it. Needed some TlC but drove it home and put it to work with very little effort or cost.
I say a 750 with rear wheel assist go for $1,600 recently in central Illinois. Don't know the hours, but it was in pretty good shape. Also makes a lot of difference if it's hydro drive or not.
