I wanted to put a mav on our's but our dealer did not think it could be done. That is one thing about the 8010 I could not understand - here is a chopper and spreader that is the industry standard - why try and reinvent the wheelIJIJ The CR's have the mav, so why not the 8010IJ

looks like Redekop needs to get their act together for the 8010. Send them an email or two.

From what I've seen, the chopper on the NH's hangs down so low that it gets a poor and narrow spread pattern, unless the guy didn't know how to set it. In soybeans I've run 2188's and 2388's with internal choppers and liked the way they worked and the spread pattern I could get from the machine. The 8010 is basically the same thing, what don't you like about itIJ

I hear that they have trouble with their internal chopper and i want to eliminate that problem. You can also get better straw out the back when you want if you have an external chopper. Also their spreader throws stuff to the side instead of out the back away from the combine making a dirty mess up on the back of the combine. Also not good for air intake or radiator.

It doesn't do near the job the redekop does. Especially in tough straw, there is a world of difference. Dry conditions - not much, if any.
