I'm on the wrong page, but here's my two cents worth. Been around a cat with the F30 head; those heads are junk. My first and easiest recommendation would be go to a MacDon or Honeybee draper head. They will out do any auger head. Choice two would be a 700 series Gleaner head. With seven inch flighting, they are the true beast of auger heads. Choice three would be a John Deere head. They work and parts are plentiful. If you can't find anybody local to build an adapter let me know, I can switch anything to anything. I'm located in eastern colorado.

I find the coments interesting in regards to the F30 cat heads being junk. I had the oppertunity to run a F30 this year and thought it worked far better then a 930F JD head. Both were brand new units running side by side in 60 bushel beans. I felt that the cat head fed far smoother then the JD. I don't believe that there was a set up problem, as I have been running combines 30 years and know how to set one up and operate them. Both Cat and J.D. factory reps. and techs. were there also participating in the 2 day demo. Maybe once there are some acres run through them there is a difference but when new I would chose the cat head. Just my experiance.
