Yes I have and it did not work. I was able to make it finally clean by keeping the front chaffer section completely closed. This will direct the air to the bottom of the chaffer.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Did you leave the air deflector in the machine or take it out when you closed the front of the chafferIJ We have a fixed air foil chaffer, so we can't close it easily unless we cover part of it up. When you say directs air to the bottom of the chaffer, do you mean the back of the chafferIJ I would think that closing off the front of the chaffer would increase the air going through the back of the chaffer, rightIJ Thanks very much for taking the time to respond.
