Combines Are for sale posts acceptableIJ

I thought this was for information dealing with combines, crops and so on. I've asked questions on tractors on this site but then realized it's not a machine steering the other way site, and quit. I believe if it's green, red or yellow, clutter their site. All those posts ever start are color problems. If it deals with Silver Streaks then, ok to a point. OR Has Marvin ever thought about an advertising site for harvesting related objectsIJ Or go to AGONlINE under the MACHINERY MARKETPlACE. JMO

Tom I really appreciate Marvin's efforts to provide this unique site. It is almost too good to be true with no slow loading animated graphics or cluttered with commercial ads. I have noticed a gradual increase in personal ads creeping in over time. I would hope that we can for the most part, resist that temptation and stay focused on the original purpose of this site....to talk combines. This site is on my "Top Ten" list of worthwhile internet sites. Prior to this site, the notion of being able to ask questions and make comments on your brand of combine and getting helpful, insightful feedback was ridiculous. It makes the impossible possible, it's like walking into your local town's coffeeshop and finding it filled with hundreds of farmers all running your brand of combine and interested in maximizing performance!! I would suggest two possibilities to keep our site efficient (like our gleaners). One would be to have a subpage that could be clicked on from the left sidebar to take you to personal ads the other option would be a link to an existing marketing site. You Gleaner owners whine like your combines!

This site is read by farmers from a lot of places around the world. The postings help all of us get a lot more performance and life out of our machines. "For Sale" notices, of use only in parts of the USA ,will eventually destroy the sites appeal. If you want to sell, find another site. Over to you Marvin!

Click on "Important" link. I havent seen anything that says it is unacceptable.

Well I see it like this, if someone is under a machine and wants out, then maybe someone here would be interested in it and might get a good deal. Personally I really get a kick out of checking out those FS posts. I dont own the site so its not my say so, but I dont mind it at all
