We have installed the new version on one STX and it seems to have done the trick ask me in a month or so after we have more time on it.

Did you have to spend $400 for the new controller or just update the softwareIJ Are you dealing with an early Serial Number or the later Serial number break. Both my Red and Blue dealer only show update on the later serial number controller, blue dealer claims to have tried to load 1.3 version on an early blue tractor said it wouldn't down load. I have the early SNn red version.

This is on 500 so that we have had it since Oct. 2003 and it is under warranty and if it works I will have them replaced in 2 more STXs and Magnums and I refuse to pay a dime for something that should have worked from the get go.

latest software for ATC is version 1.3, I stopped at another dealer yesterday (dealer number 3) for me, and he also says this latest software will not be accepted by the early SNn due to the canbus not accepting. I agree that we should not have to pay to get up to snuff. And I refuse to... I trade it off for a JD. But I have to admitt dealer n3 opinions advise on my PS tranny issues made the most since to me. IF he was not so blessed far, I would haul it to his staff. They made the most since too me. Do any of you ever get paper work stating what was done when something is under warranty. Seems like the auto dealers always have you sign stuff when and update or warranty issue is done. I have never had to do this with my CNH dealer... paper trail might have come in handy when discussing with other dealers. I wish I had a detailed list of all the items replaced and taken off and inspected from my (purchased and servicing dealer) Seems to me that when a guy get a lemon or 1st year of production unit... that CNH ought to welcome shopping of customer to find a dealer that can accomplish the impossible fix. Pretty bad to be ironing out bugs in a 2001 model, still. I'm not proud of Kelsey Hayes, or Trimble... if you know what I mean.

Cornking, If it works satisfactory, would you please get a list of the parts and part numbers for the change and what version of the working software. I went to the blue and red dealer this morning and it will make you head spin on how many times that control module has changed in part numbers...plus to make it worse the early SNn ones take a different controller part number than later SNn ones. And I do not think you can update the early ones maybe... Not sure though. There is 323018A, 323019A, 87447392,397780A1,411438A1, plus more I did not write them all down.

From what I can see the TG_MX requie replacement of the Automatic Temperature Controller to partn 87429902. Supposed to be all TG_MX built with serial JAW130756 or JAZ130756 and later should have the newer controller. Not sure about the TJ_STX. There could be a faulty A_C high pressure cutout switch on 4wd built from NH serial range of RVS001462-RVS001513, but I don't know the CaseIH serial range.

Any CASE=IH dealer should to able to go inito their warrenty system by serial number and determine what has been done to a unit. This assumes that the dealer doing the work got the information input. If he didn't then he didn't get paid either. Curious as to what your third dealer told you about the transmission. Also HVAC controller (from Kelsey Hayes) did not go onto the data bus until recently. Prior to that it was a stand alone unit. Some of the earlier tractors had a different controller and and PWM driver thus the compatability issues.
