Thanks and glad you brought that little monster to life. I'd love for you to run up against the other colors but better yet would be run with brassring to see if you have trouble grinding green stuff (straw that is). Good job John.

We have gone to a 92-R52 this year and have been amazed with the performance. The machine is fully Hyperized with out the F2 bar. I've also got green stem beans this year. In 55-60 bushel beans we can run about 7-7.5 mph(gps) with a jd 653 row head and in 160-180 bushel corn(cob is really tough) we run about 6.5-7.3 mph with a 630 corn head. The only problem I have is we are getting some loss on the discharge end. I know you can use a F2 bar or a n5 reverse bar. What is working the best with out the loss of power or would the sweeps take care of this. Also we decided to put a 830 corn head on and could still run 5.5 mph what a monster. My neighbor running a 2388 said thats all he could do. Thanks for all of your help guys.

To answer your question about sweeps in corn. I'd say they won't stop a few trickling kernals from getting into discharge. They certainly help keep the tough material moving regaurdless of crop. Reports of more whole cobs and prevents breaking up green material in other crops that can test the return system. Here's some new tricks you may not of heard of to stop some trickling of kernals into discharge: I'm not sure I would be excited about doing unless you have sweeps or Bison. First is so called corn ring from the old P1 days. It is a ring I make out of an old helical that I wrap around seperator grate as far to the left as I can. A second shorter one can be added to far left side of removable seperator cage door. Heavier material can flow over ring while kernals following the cage will have to make another revolution before exiting. Second a guy can remove the helicals on seperator cage door which will slow up the material flow to discharge without busting up the material. Third is what I call corn door. I have a proto made up and running in corn with Bison. It is basically the removable door on seperator side has every other cage segment cut out. This provides 1" X 2 3_4" long slots running up and down. The longer slots are letting out more corn out before it can get to discharge. Cards are still out on whats best but I'm tring to do everything I can to get maximum seperator without tightening things down and busting up the MOG. Catch you later
