Compared to the $$ I have been offered for my R50 of similar age and 800 fewer hours, those prices look very high.

What is a approximate value of a 2000hr or less R50 without headers. (not from the first batch, above serial n 3000) Gerald

Combine Salvage Inc has an R50 4WD with a header which has been in the newspapers at $29000. 2400 hours. Has the newer 4WD so it fits your S_N grouping.

I don't know if that is really that cheap for an older R60. My neighbor traded a newer R60 a year ago and got about 40,000 for it. The Peterbuilt sounds like a right good buy. Would have definately been hard to fit in a college dorm room though! One weekend while I was in college I went to a sale and bought a 1977 John Deere 4430 with 2500 hours on it. That was 10 years ago and the thing had a cab, axle duals, and weights, on it and I got it for $8,000. I drove it the five miles back to town, and parked taking up two spaces in the lot of my college apartment for a couple of weeks until dad could come get it on the lowboy. I got a nasty letter from the management of the complex asking me to please move my "big green machine" out of their parking lot, otherwise it would have it towed. It would have taken a big wrecker to move that thing! lOl
