I totaly agree, we have two of those extensions on our 2388s. They really work well without adding extra length and weight to the auger. I am also a dealer in the US for this extension. We sell them for $450 plus shipping.

What does the auger extension look likeIJ Is their a web siteIJ

Remove end cap and spout of auger and slide new piece over the tube.I bought both from Sloans express catalog. A search for stewarts steel (Canada) will show a good picture. The extension does not look like it would add 3 ft but it does. Relatively easy to install, auger is NOT removed at all. About $400. plus shipping from Sloans. Delayed reply due to computer problems.
