Combines auger swing on JD 9500

Yeah it probably is the limit switch on the top of the elbow in the unload tube. I had mine quit, and Deere has made a change up. instead of a $45 switch, it is now a $200 package of wiring and stuff to put on. My advice is to try and find an old style at a combine salvage yard and hope it lasts till you trade. Also, have you tried tapping on the plastic housing with a broom handleIJ (you can store it on the ladder and you can reach the sensor from the step) Sometimes it will jar the sensor enough to work for a while.

I have located one of the old sensors that would be new in Burdett Kansas. I have not called them to see if they have it for sure but the dealer part locator showed that they may have one. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. The Delaney Implement Company phone number is 1-620-525-6221, or toll free at 1800-982-4733. And the part number should be AH142999 for the sensor.

The new style switch is a timmer set up that operates simmiler to the 50 series and newer. no mechanical switch to get water in or wear out. have not seen any fail yet.

yeah i havent seen any of the new timers fail either, i think i would buy that rather than stand on the step with a broom to try and get my unload auger to swing. sounds like a waste of time
